Expecting to beat the University of Hawaii was out of the question. Expecting to see improvement as the game went along was as the University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped a 72-47 exhibition game to Hawaii in Honolulu.
“I'm pretty positive especially with only two weeks of practice under our belt,” UH Hilo Head Coach
David Kaneshiro said. “We did have some possession and executed pretty well. We just didn't shoot the ball well even though we had some good looks.”
From the field the Vulcans hit 16 of 54 shots for just under 30-percen t shooting.

Jamiea McDuffie tallied 10 points for the Vulcans while
Kamie Imai had eight points and six rebounds.
“The best thing was our improvement in the second half,” Kaneshiro said. “We talked about some things at half time and were able to apply them in the second half.
“They played hard and the effort was good.”
