The Vulcans improved to 9-11 overall and 6-6 in the PacWest while the Argonauts are 5-15 overall and 3-9 in the Pacwest.

Both teams struggled through the first 20 minutes with the Vulcan shitting just 7 of 25 shots and the Argonauts hitting 4 of 16 shots. A 12-14 performance at the freethrow line by the Argonauts kept the game close as the Vulcans trailed 20-19 at the break.

“We pretty much played even throughout the game and are glad to get the win,” said senior guard Jamiea McDuffie.  “Sometimes when you have a layoff playing, it's hard to get back into the groove.  We weren't playing our game.”
