The University of Hawaii at Hilo had a tough night in Honolulu as a battle with NCAA Division I University of Hawaii ended with a 114-63 loss in the Stan Sheriff Arena.
 
Darnell Williams led the Vulcans with 15 points while Brandon Thomas added 12 and Joey Rodriguez had 10.
 
Losing the battle on the boards 51-22, the Vulcans' transition game was put on hold.
 
The Vulcans hit 25 of 67 shots from the field (.373) and five of 21 from 3-point range (.238).
