Vulcans building character as they win 93-87 in overtime

Brandon Thomas double-doubled against Tiffin with 12 points and 13 rebounds
The University of Hawaii at Hilo went overtime to claim a93-87 win over Tiffin University in the Naniloa Volcanoes Resorts Thanksgiving Tournament.
 
"We showed character in overtime," UH Hilo Head Coach GE Coleman said. "Look at Dominique Campbell … his missed two freethrows at the end but then in overtime he was unbelievable. He was blocking shots, rebounding and hit two big freethrows.
 
"We're learning how to win and close games."
 
Campbell finished the game with eight points, five rebounds and three blocked shots.
 
Lucas Swanson led five players in double-figure scoring with 17 points. Darnell Williams added 13, Joey Rodriguez 12 and Kevin Dancer 10. Brandon Thomas turned in a 12-point, 13-rebound performance.
 
From the field, the Vulcans were 31 of 68 (.456) while hitting 11 treys. They were also 20 of 25 from the freethrow line.
