For well over a decade,
KTA Super Store’s Score for Scholarships program has generated nearly $300,000 for the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Athletic Scholarship Fund.
KTA coordinates the performance-based program with donations provided by many local vendors.
At Bat for Vulcan Scholarships (Baseball and Softball)
For every extra-base hit by a Vulcan batter and strike-out recorded by a Vulcan pitcher, during a home game, a donation will be made according to the following schedule: double = $50; triple = $75; homerun = $100; pitcher recorded strikeout = $25.
3-Points for Vulcan Scholarships (Men’s and Women’s Basketball)
For every three-point shot made by the Vulcans at a home game, $50 will be donated.
Goals for Vulcan Scholarships (Men’s and Women’s Soccer)
For every Vulcan goal scored at a home match, $100 will be donated.
Aces for Vulcan Scholarships (Volleyball)
For every service ace by a Vulcan recorded at home, $50 will be donated.
