Neil Cabico continues his impressive fall play. After two rounds of the
InterWest Wildcat Classic, he is tied for third place at even-par 145 in the event hosted by Chico State on the
Butte Creek Country Club in Chico (Calif.)
Cabico turned in rounds of 71-74 on the 6,994-yard, par-72 course and is one stroke behind tournament leaders Patrick Bauer of Sonoma State and Kenny Pigman of Cal State San Benardino.
The Vulcans are tied for 12th in the 16-team tournament. Leading the way is Western Washington at 597 followed by Sonoma State (598), St. Martin's (601), Chico State and Grand Canyon (602), Cal State Stanislaus and Holy Names (605), Cal State Monterey Bay (614), William Jewel (621), Cal State San Bernardino (623), Academy of Art (625), UC San Diego and UH Hilo (633), Cal State East Bay and Northwest Nazarene (635), and Notre Dame de Namur (640).
Also competing for the Vulcans are Travis Russell (T52, 82-77=159), Chris Shimomura (T70, 86-78=164), Corey Kozuma (T73, 83-83=166) and Chris Armanini (77th, 87-82=169).
