Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Jorge Martinez got the nod from his coach for his stellar play in the Vulcans' final two home soccer matches of the 2018 season. Although the Vulcans lost to Hawaii Pacific and Point Loma, the junior midfielder from Madrid, Spain was solid in both matches, especially against second-place Point Loma. "We played almost the whole match a man down, and yet Jorge was always a threat," said head coach Paul Regrutto. "He was fouled to create one of our penalty kicks. His work rate on both offense and defense was incredible."
