Sophomore guard Sara Shimizu's long-range accuracy helped the Vulcans to a big road victory at Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday. The Sacramento native scored a career-high 17 points, including the final six points of the game as the Vulcans topped the Argonauts, 49-47. That binge included the game-winning three-pointer with 1:52 remaining that allowed the Vulcans to pick up their first road win of the season and snap an eight-game skid. Shimizu buried five treys on the afternoon (5-for-8). The 5-2 guard also had two assists and two steals. She is second on the season for the Vulcans with 17 three-pointers made.
