Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Jared Kinoshita went tee-to-tee with the big boys this past week at the 28th annual Amer Ari Intercollegiate at the Waikoloa Kings' course. Playing in a field that featured all NCAA Division I golfers and UH Hilo, Kinoshita finished 12th overall of 109 collegians. The senior from Bakersfield, Calif. shot a 66 on the first day, at that point putting him ahead the No. 1 ranked golfer in the NCAA (Justin Suh, USC) and the eventual winner and the fourth ranked amateur in the world (Matthew Wolff, Oklahoma State). Kinoshita completed the three rounds at -7, shooting a two-under 70 on the final day.
