Senior libero Kaila Lizama played a big role in UH HIlo's volleyball success over the weekend at the D2 West Region Showcase. She had a total of 87 digs over four matches and also zipped in a service ace in three of the four contests. Her dig total, which included 24 digs against Cal State Monterey Bay and 23 versus Seattle Pacific, ranked her second over the weekend in the Pacific West Conference. "Her dig total was just part of her value," said her coach Chris Leonard. "Overall, she played some of the best defense that she has played during her time here, especially in the tougher matches."
