Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Brandyn Lee-Lehano, an ace middle reliever for the Vulcans, made his first start in over two seasons AND had a win in relief to help the Vulcans earn a split with defending PacWest champion Azusa Pacific at Wong Stadium. In the series opener, Lee-Lehano did his normal work, serving as the UHH set-up man by pitching 1.2 innings of shutout relief, allowing no runs and one hit. He got the win in a 8-5 victory. The next day, he got the call to start and worked eight solid innings, allowing just three hits against the potent Cougar offense and just one earned run. He walked two and struck out five before handing the ball to closer John Kea for the second straight night. The former Kamehameha-Hawai`i standout is now 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA.
