The Vulcans will greatly miss four-year softball starter Brinell Kaleikini, who will graduate this month with degrees in Kinesiology/Exercise Science and Sports Medicine/Therapy.  Kaleikini, who was the PacWest Preseason Player of the Year in 2019, leaves the Vulcan program with her name on a number of career lists. She is first in times hit by a pitch (26), fifth in walks (80), seventh in slugging percentage (.485), and eighth in home runs (16) and RBI (92). She played almost every position on the field for the Vulcans and was named to two different all-west region teams as a utility player. She started 162 games in her Vulcan career, which included all games in her shortened senior season (21). The Honolulu native (Moanalua HS) will earn her fourth All-Pacific West Conference Scholar Athlete honor when the team is announced in June.
