Shiori Ubukata was still looking forward to her first action in a Vulcan uniform until March 12 happened. After transferring from Genesee Community College in New York, the Japan native (Tokyo) redshirted at UHH in 2019. She was looking forward to contributing to the Vulcan program, but injuries had a part in derailing that start. Nonetheless, her teammates voted her as their "Most Pono Vulcan" in 2019. Shiori, who also played baseball in high school, will graduate in the Fall with a degree in Sociology.
