UH Hilo point guard Darren Williams had three solid games during three tough losses last week on the road. The 5-foot-8 Rancho Cucamonga, California native totaled 52 points in the three games, with 13 rebounds, 15 assists and four steals. In the overtime thriller at Alaska Anchorage, Williams had a career-high 29 points with five rebounds, six assists and a steal. Through seven games, the Chaffey College transfer is averaging 15.4 points per game and leads the team with just over five assists a contest. He also paces the Vulcans in minutes played (33.3), three-pointers made (16) and with 12 steals.
