Freshman Allie Navarette had an impressive collegiate debut this past weekend in Fairbanks. The 6-0 forward/center had 15 points and nine rebounds in UH Hilo's season-opening victory over Alaska (62-49), and she also had eight points and four boards the next day against the Nanooks. In the two games, the Torrance, California native hit 10-of-17 shots from the field, had 22 points and 13 rebounds.
