Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Senior guard Safia Sheikh had 31 points and 14 rebounds as the Vulcans split a pair of games to open up the Pacific West Conference season. The BYU-Hawaii transfer had 18 points and eight rebounds during a 63-59 comeback win over Biola and was UH Hilo's leading scorer with 13 points during a loss to Concordia. For the season, the Denmark native leads the team with 14 points a game and she also has almost seven rebounds a contest.
