Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Freshman post Allie Navarette had a pair of outstanding games for the Vulcans, who split contests against Chaminade (L, 69-67) and Douglas (W, 69-66). The 6-foot Torrance, Calif. native had 21 points and five rebounds against the Silverswords, and had a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards versus the Royals. Against Douglas, she scored what proved to be the winning bucket with 45 seconds left, and then blocked the potential game-tying shot as time expired.
