Sophomore pitcher Dylan Spain was dominant in two pitching performances over the weekend against Biola. He threw two perfect innings on Thursday night before the rains came, allowing no Eagle hits while fanning three. Less than 48 hours later, he was equally lights out, except for one pitch--a two-run homer in the ninth inning that planted a hard-luck loss on him and the Vulcans. He threw a complete game, gave up seven hits, one walk and struck out nine. For the two games, he pitched 11 innings, gave up seven hits, two runs, one walk and 12 strikeouts.
