Freshman righthander Travis Burleson pitched arguably the best game of his young career against one of the west region's best teams on Saturday. Burleson shut down No. 3 regionally ranked California Baptist for six innings during a 1-0 win over the Lancers, allowing only two hits and one walk, while fanning five. Burleson, along with teammate Kyle Alcorn, are the only pitchers this year in the PacWest or west region to go six or more innings against CBU without giving up an earned run.
