Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Senior first baseman Phillip Steering continued to add exclamation marks to his brilliant season and career during last week's bay area road trip. Covering a period where the Vulcans won five straight games, one over Academy of Art and four against Holy Names, he went 10-for-14 at the plate with six runs scored, five RBI, three doubles and a home run. Equally impressive, he was walked NINE times. He is now hitting .368 with a school-record 10 home runs.
