Freshman Olivia Jarvis made a splashy cross country debut at the Big Wave Invitational on Saturday. In her first collegiate race, the Oceanside, California native was UH Hilo's top runner, finishing 12th overall and sixth among non-Division I racers. Her time of 20:24 was better than any Vulcan runner ran last year on the same Oahu north shore course.
