Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Sophomore middle blocker Ashton Jessee helped the Vulcans get off to a hot start on a five-match road trip. The Anchorage, Alaska native had 11 kills and a sizzling .588 hitting percentage during a three-set win over Holy Names on Saturday, and followed that up with eight kills (.333), two aces, two solo blocks and four block assist in a four-set victory over Academy of Art on Sunday. The Vulcans are now 15-5 on the season and 11-3 in the PacWest, heading into three more road matches this week.
