Senior tennis standout Vaclav Slezak had an impressive debut to his 2018-19 season, capturing the singles title at the Honolulu UTR tournament. Slezak, a First Team All-Pacific West Conference selection last spring. won five matches in route to taking the pre-season title. To do so, he defeated a top Oahu junior player, three players from Hawaii Pacific, and then topped the University of Hawaii's Lucas Labrunie in the championship, 6-4, 6-1. The Vulcans, who reached the PacWest championship match last year, officially open their season in February
