The University of Hawaii at Hilo's exhibition season ended with a 92-46 loss to Duquesne University in the Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Michael Melonas provided the Vulcans' spark with a 14-point, 5-rebound performance in 25 minutes.
As a team, the Vulcans's were 17-of-64 from the field (26.6 percent), 3-of-21 from 3-point range (14.3 percent) and 9-of-21 at the freethrow line (42.9 percent).
On the other hand, the Dukes hit 52.4 percent of their shots (33-63) and 48.4 percent of their 3-point attempts (15-31).
“They were sharper and played harder than us in every phase,” UHH Head Coach
Jeff Law said. “On top of that they shot lights out and we didn't play well enough defensively on the ball.
“We're going back to the drawing board to get ready for Western Oregon.”
