IRVINE, Calif.--Three Hawai`i Hilo volleyball standouts from their NCAA playoff-bound team have been selected to the All-Pacific West Conference team, selected by the conference's coaches.

Bria Beale (First Team), middle blocker
Emily Wade (First Team) and
Kendall Kott (Second Team) were named to the 24-person squad. The all-star list includes 12 members on the First Team and 12 on the Second Team.
The Vulcans, who finished second in the PacWest with a 18-4 record (23-7) overall, are heading to the NCAA West Region Championships, hosted by Cal State San Bernardino (Dec. 5-7) as the No. 7 seed. They will play No. 2 seed Western Washington on Dec. 5 (time TBA).
Beale, a junior, was tabbed to the First Team for the second year in a row. She led the PacWest all season long in kills (424) and in total points (483). She led the Vulcans in service aces (34) and was second in digs (343) and solo blocks (8). The Eastvale, Calif. native and former UC Irvine transfer was a Preseason All-PacWest pick and was twice named the PacWest Player of the Week this Fall.
Wade, a freshman from Sacramento, overcame an early season injury to post some of the top numbers in the PacWest. The 6-foot-3 middle blocker is second in the PacWest in blocks per set (1.24), sixth in points (3.47) and sixth in hitting percentage (.338). She was a three-time PacWest Freshman of the Week and also won a PacWest Defender of the Week honor.
Kott, a freshman from Shingle Spring, Calif., played every minute of every match this year for the Vulcans as their setter. She led the conference all year in assists (1,241), ranking 26th in all NCAA statistics. She also had 21 service aces, 269 digs and 60 block assists.
It's the first time that the Vulcans have had two players named to the All-PacWest First Team since 2009, when Josimura Pinheiro and Fabiane Seben were selected.
Conference champion Azusa Pacific nearly swept the top awards, grabbing four of the six, including Coach of the Year (Chris Keife), Player of the Year (Julianne MIller), Libero of the Year (Bailey Hennington) and Freshman of the Year (Annaka Jorgenson). Point Loma's Cara Keturakis was selected as the Setter of the Year for the second year in a row and Chamiinade's Leka Kiner-Falefa was selected as Newcomer of the Year.
