The Vulcans (and you) did it!! UH HIlo defeated Normandale CC in the Tokyodachi Mascot Mania to advance to the second round, where they will face the Texas State Bobcats on June 25. 

UH Hilo defeated the Lions of Normandale 3,207 to 2,211, winning by almost 1,000 votes. Texas State advanced by defeating Dixie State.

The winner of this next round, which again will be determined soley by votes from each school's fanbase, will move on to the third round to face the winner between USC and Wyoming.

The vote will only be open on Friday, June 25, so mark your digital calendars now. To vote, go to Tokyodachi's Instagram and click on its profile photo. This will open Instagram stories where users can select one of two options on a poll at the bottom of each post. To skip forward or backward through the Instagram stories, tap either side of the post. Voting will be available for 24 hours once posted, and results will be shared daily.

UH Manoa's vote is today against Southern Oregon. 

The light-hearted competition is an opportunity to spread the word about UH Hilo's and UH Mānoa's characters, and stay engaged on social media with fellow Vulcans and 'Bows supporters. The winning campus will earn its own custom Tokyodachi merchandise line. Zephyr designed and created both characters with input from UH Hilo's and UH Mānoa's athletic departments.
