Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Visiting Vulcans Fall 88-78 to Eagles

LA MIRADA, Calif.-- The UH Hilo men's basketball team fell 88-78 to Biola in the Chase Gymnasium.

The Vulcans (10-8, 6-5 overall) battled against the Eagles (15-4, 9-3 PacWest), but at the end of the night were unable to cool off Biola's scorching offense. The Eagles shot 65 percent in the field and 57 percent from downtown in a dominant offensive performance. Five of BU's players scored in the double-digits, four of which were starting Eagles.

The Vulcans weren't as efficient in their offensive production shooting 45 percent in the field and 31 percent beyond the arc, but Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones led the floor in scoring, racking up 26 points in the night.

Although Biola was offensively proficient, they did suffer at the hands of UHH defenders. BU let up 20 turnovers, twice as much as UH Hilo, that resulted in 19 points for the visiting Vulcans.
