SAN RAFAEL, Calif.-- Donald McHenry led the UH Hilo men's basketball team with 16 points in their 79-63 loss to Dominican in the Conlan Center.
The Vulcans fell to 13-12 overall and 9-9 in the PacWest Conference, while the Penguins improved 8-17 and 4-13 in the league.Â
UHH has one more game remaining before they head out to Fresno for the PacWest Championships. The Vulcans will face Chaminade at home on Friday, Feb. 25 at 7:30pm HST in the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium for senior night. Â
UH Hilo had the lead until the Penguins began to hit their back-court shots. A good three-pointer by DU's Adam Parker gave them the go-ahead point (15-14). The Penguins next three baskets were treys, setting them up with a 24-17 lead.Â
Dominican stretched their lead to as much as 23 points in their home-court win.Â
The last play of the game was a bucket behind the arch from Peyton Grant that closed the game 79-63 in the Penguins' favor.Â
