KANSAS CITY, Missouri – A week after falling out of the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Poll, the Hawai'i Hilo Women's Soccer team is back in the rankings, this time landing inside the top 10 at No. 8 in the country.
Two weeks prior, the Vulcans had moved up two spots from it's previous preseason ranking of No. 14. After a scoreless draw with Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 5, Hawai'i Hilo was seemingly left off of every ballot submitted to the United Soccer Coaches Week 2 poll. The back-to-back PacWest Conference Champions were not listed as having received any votes and also dropped out entirely of the West region rankings.
Hawai'i Hilo secured a 3-1 victory over Stanislaus State last week.
Ashland University (5-0-0) came in at the top spot for the second consecutive week.

United Soccer Coaches
Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Missouri, United Soccer Coaches has grown into the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game.
United Soccer Coaches conducts the most widely recognized national and regional soccer ranking system in the country as a service to the general public and its members. The intent of the rankings program is to stimulate greater interest in men's and women's soccer at the intercollegiate and interscholastic levels and to recognize those programs that are enjoying remarkable success on a regional and national level.
United Soccer Coaches rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection.
