SAN FRANCISCO, California – Taylor Tullo racked up 18 kills with just three attack errors to help lead Hawai'i Hilo Women's Volleyball to a four-set victory over Academy of Art in a Pacific West Conference rematch Tuesday evening at the Kezar Pavilion.
The two teams had just met up in Hilo two weeks prior with the Urban Knights managing to escape and flip a straight-sets loss into a reverse sweep. This time, the Vulcans again went up two sets to none with ART U managing to get the next set back, but Tullo's 13 total kills through the last two frames helped seal the win. Overall, Tullo finished with a .429 hitting percentage and attacked at a .522 rate through the last two sets.
Chase Koepke also tallied double-digit kills with 10 (.296). Maya Imoto-Eakin posted a double-double with 24 assists and 12 digs.
With the victory, sixth-year head coach Chris Leonard also earned win No. 78 with the Vulcans, moving into a tie for second all-time in program history.
