TURLOCK, California – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Soccer's historic season came to an end Sunday afternoon in a 2-0 defeat to Stanislaus State in the NCAA Super 4 Regional Second Round at the Warrior Field.
Stanislaus State netted goals in the 24th (Emmanuel Duran) and 34th (Sebastian Carbajal) minutes, managing to capitalize on two assisted passes from Samuel Villanueva. Jose Ponce also assisted on the first score for the Warriors.
The box score numbers were evenly matched up across the board with Hawai'i Hilo managing an 11-10 shot advantage. The Warriors' two scores were their only two attempts on goal — the Vulcans finished with three shots on goal.
The Vulcans were making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA postseason this week and took down Western Oregon this past Friday, 3-2, in the NCAA Super 4 Regional First Round.

- Hawai'i Hilo Men's Soccer entered the NCAA postseason for the first time in program history after receiving the No. 9 seed in the NCAA Super 4 Region.
- The Pacific West Conference tournament runner-up Vulcans were one of five teams to land an at-large bid for the NCAA postseason, following the five conference champions from the PacWest (Point Loma), CCAA (Stanislaus State), GNAC (Western Oregon), Lone Star Conference (Midwestern State) and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (Colorado Colorado Springs) that make up the Super 4 Region.
