WAIPAHU, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Soccer clinched a postseason berth after defeating HPU, 3-0, Saturday afternoon in Pacific West Conference play at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
Entering the regular-season finale, the Vulcans needed either a tie or a win to clinch one of four spots in next week's conference tournament — joining Azusa Pacific, Point Loma and Dominican.
Scores by Annette Sotelo (58'), Tatianna Chavez (69') and Elise Flores (86') helped solidify the Vulcans' spot in the postseason.
Lydia Keller recorded her eighth shutout of the season.
Hawai'i Hilo will take on host Point Loma in next week's PacWest Championships. Winner advances to the title match against either Azusa Pacific or Dominican.
