HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Volleyball swept Jessup, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-11), Saturday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
The final result was a Vulcans sweep – their third in a row. However, Hawai'i Hilo committed more total offensive errors than Jessup in two of the three sets, but answered back bigger following Warriors rallies in each of the first two frames to pull away. Total Offensive Errors: Hawai'i Hilo 25, Jessup 33.
Logan Blutreich led Hawai'i Hilo on 10 kills (.381) with three blocks. Chase Koepke hit .533 with nine kills to go along with two assists, four blocks and four digs. 'Anolani Santos totaled 29 assists and four service aces.
The Vulcans are now No. 4 in the PacWest standings (5-2 record). Concordia (7-0), Biola (7-1) and Point Loma (6-2) currently sit ahead. Hawai'i Hilo will have its first second-round matchup of the conference season when it hosts Biola on Tuesday at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
GAME NOTES
- Set 1: After Jessup erased an early 11-2 Hawai'i Hilo lead with a 7-0 run to pull within one at 17-16, the Vulcans closed by winning eight of the final 11 points with seven kills — Sajal Glunz had four of them. Hawai'i Hilo committed 11 total offensive errors to Jessup's nine (-.028 attacking).
- Set 2: Glunz matched her Set 1 performance with four more kills, the latter two of which bookended the start of the Vulcans' three-point response to three consecutive Jessup points. Hawai'i Hilo matched the three unanswered scores to set up set point and Glunz finishing at 25-19. Jessup committed just three total offensive errors to Hawai'i Hilo's nine, but the Vulcans still hit .344 for the set.
- Set 3: Hawai'i Hilo outscored Jessup, 17-4, through the final portion of the set to close out the match sweep – Logan Blutreich posted three kills and two blocks. Jessup committed 11 total offensive errors to Hawai'i Hilo's six and hit -.167 for the set.

PACWEST CONFERENCE PRESEASON POLL
Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 3 in the 2026 PacWest Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans finished the 2025 regular season tied at No. 3 in the conference standings. The four-team 2026 PacWest Championships postseason tournament will be hosted by Vanguard University on Nov. 13-14 in Costa Mesa, California.
