STOCKTON, California – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Golf placed ninth at the two-round DII Visit Stockton Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Course.
Dylan Bercan placed No. 18 among the field of 112 golfers with rounds of 71 and 73 for an even-par score. Jacob Torres finished second for the Vulcans (plus-3) at No. 29 overall and had a good six-hole run on the back nine of the opening round, posting birdies on Holes 11, 12, 14 and 16 for a one-under Round 1 score. Ben Crinella also opened with three birdies and no bogeys through the first nine holes on the way to finishing plus-5 at a tie for No. 39 — along with Dysen Park.
The Vulcans placed No. 9 at 13-plus — the highest among six Pacific West Conference schools competing.
Colorado State Pueblo took the team title with a minus-7 finish as Western Washington's Rex Wilson took the individual title at five-under.
