Had one of the best seasons in UH Hilo tennis history, finishing 18-2 at No. 2 singles...Went 17-3 at No. 1 doubles with teammate Vaclav Slezak...Named the PacWest Freshman of the Year...Finished the season ranked No. 2 in the west region doubles list...Also No. 14 in doubles nationally...Twice named the PacWest Player of the Week...First Team All-PacWest in both singles and doubles...Named the ITA Rookie of the Year...Won his singles match at the national tournament quarterfinals, defeating Indianapolis' Renato Lima, 6-2, 6-4...Ranked No. 49 nationally in singles...Also with Slezak won vs. Indy in doubles, topping the No. 22 team in the nation, 8-4...Rolled in his West Region match versus Point Loma, 6-0, 6-1...He and Slezak also won in doubles, 8-2...Finished 2-1 against nationally ranked players...Won nine of his final ten singles matches...Also was victorius in nine of his final ten doubles bouts...UTR rating of 13...PacWest All-Academic Team.
