Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Assistant Coach Shaye Miura joined the University of Hawaii at Hilo baseball staff on July 1, 2013.
 
A four-year Vulcan outfielder (1995-2000), Miura started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Kea‘au High School where he was responsible for the outfield, hitting and base running from 2000-13. He has also coached youth baseball in the Hilo area for many years. 
 
He graduated from UH Hilo with a Teacher Education Program Certificate in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science and Biology in 2000. Miura is married with one child and lives in Hilo.
