Jaime Guerpo spent over two decades as head coach of the Hawai‘i Hilo women's cross country program after starting in 1999.

The Vulcans claimed back-to-back Pacific West Conference titles in the 2006 and 2007 seasons, the former of which Guerpo was named Coach of the Year.

Guerpo also led the Hawai‘i Hilo men's cross country program until its final season in 2010.

The Hawai‘i-native previously served as head coach at Azusa Pacific University where he coached an 800-meter NAIA National Champion and a runner-up in the NAIA Marathon along with numerous conference champions and All-Americans.

Guerpo left Hawai‘i Hilo in spring 2023 to become director athletics at nearby Ka‘u High & Pahala Elementary School.
