Former UHH goalkeeper Erick Lemus moved to the sidelines in 2015 as a student assistant for both Vulcan soccer programs.

In 2017, Lemus worked with just the men's program, and in 2018 he moves back to working with the UH Hilo women.

Lemus patrolled the goal in 2014 for the Vulcans, posting a 1.41 goals against average. He had 24 saves in 12 matches.

Prior to playing at UHH, he spent a season at Franklin Pierce University. He prepped at Junipero Serra in Gardena, Calif, where he was the league's MVP goalkeeper in 2013 and a four-year starter. Junipero Serra won two league titles with Lemus in the net.

Lemus has his US Soccer "D" License and NSCAA Goalkeeping Levels 1 and 2. He has helped coached with Rush Big Island, and has spent the last two seasons as an assistant at Kamehameha. The Warriors were the BIIF champs last year and were state finalists in Division 2.

Lemus was recently named the head girls coach at Waiakea High School.

A senior academically, Lemus is a Business Administration major.
