Sophomore left-hander Kyle Alcorn had a memorable final performance in 2019 despite not getting a victory in the win column. In a 2-1 loss to Biola, he held a hot-hitting Eagle team to a pair of runs on just three hits, walking one and striking out five. In the only low-scoring game of the four contests, the Vulcans managed just one run as Alcorn wrapped up the year at 4-4. In 11 starts in 2019, the Lakewood, Calif. native had a 3.88 ERA and allowed only 51 hits in 58 innings pitched as the Vulcans finished 26-19 on the year.
