Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Junior goalkeeper Michael Harre anchored a stellar Vulcan defense during a 1-0 men's soccer win at home versus Notre Dame de Namur. Harre (pronounced Harry), had nine saves, many of them acrobatic, as the last stop behind a UH HIlo defense that proved difficult to get past. 

Harre, a transfer from Maryville, an NCAA Division II school in MIssouri, faced 11 Argonaut shots. For the St. Louis native, this was the first shutout of his Vulcan career. It helped UH Hilo improve to 1-1 in the PacWest. The Vulcans will have two matches this week, hosting Dominican on Wednesday and Fresno Pacific on Saturday.
