Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Senior forward Kupaa Harrison had a pair of big games to help his team continue to roll during a successful homestand. The Kailua, Hawai`i native had a total of 41 points in wins over Dominican and Notre Dame de Namur, leading the Vulcans to a 4-1 start in the new year. Against the Penguins, the 6-foot-5 star had 19 points, 17 of them in the second half during a 68-64 victory. He also had seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. On Monday night in a 72-64 win over NDNU, he knocked a team-high 22 points, with 11 rebounds and three steals, for his third double-double of the season. The Vulcans are now 7-6 overall, 5-4 in the Pacific West Conference heading into Thursday (Azusa Pacific) and Saturday (Fresno Pacific) games on the road.
