Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

After transferring from Santa Rosa JC, Janelle Schwartz came to Hilo and started in 32 matches over the course of two seasons. As a senior, she led the Vulcans in minutes played with 1,645 from her defender and midfield positions. As a junior, she was an integral part of one of the best defenses in Vulcan school history, one that allowed just ten goals in 16 total matches. That UHH team went 10-4-2 overall and 7-3-1 in the Pacific West Conference. The Petaluma, Calif. native graduated as the conclusion of the 2019 soccer season with a degree in Communications. She will be a two-time All-PacWest Scholar Athlete. Janelle plans to pursue work in the public relations field.
