Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Vulcan outside hitter Bria Beale had another outstanding series of matches in helping her team win all four contests of a northern California trip last week. The graduate senior had a double-double in three of the four wins as UH Hilo improved to 8-2 on the season and 5-1 in the Pacific West Conference. Beale had a season-best 20 digs to go with 14 kills in a win over Fresno Pacific, and had a 2021-best four block assists in a victory over Academy of Art. The Eastvale, Calif. native had a total of 59 kills on the week, two service aces, six blocks and 51 digs. The Vulcans are home this week and will take on southern California teams Biola on Wednesday and Concordia on Saturday.
