The men's tennis team captured a crucial win against No. 4 Hawai'i Pacific on Saturday (Apr. 2). Soukal, the No. 3 ranked player in the nation, set the tone for the Vulcans by winning the first singles match after UHH dropped the doubles point.

Soukal topped HPU's Jan Pleva 6-1, 6-3 in 49 minutes which tied the match up 1-1 for UH Hilo. Soukal improved 12-2 (first court) on his senior day.
