Freshman guard Sara Shimizu had back-to-back significant efforts in a win over Holy Names and a loss to Dominican on Feb. 18 and 20. She had a career-high 16 points against the Penguins, hitting a pair of three's and all four free throws. She also had three assists. Against the Hawks, she hit 7-of-8 free throw attempts, had nine points and four steals. For three games (including Jan. 27 vs. Point Loma), the Sacramento, Calif. native converted 12-of-14 charity tosses.
