Hilo, Hawaii – It took six University of Hawaii at Hilo pitchers nearly four hours to get through the University of California-Santa Barbara line-up as the Vulcans fell 22-6 in the final game of a four-game series.
The Vulcans next host San Jose State University in Wong Stadium at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 and at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5 for a doubleheader.
UCSB (13-12) pounded out 23 hits with Shane Carlson leading the way with a 5 for 7 game. Chris Valaika collected four hits while Chris Webber, Matt Emerick and Chris McMurray paired hits.
