Santa Clara, Calif. – Lead-off batter Ronel Trias scores the run and third batter Michael Higa drives in the runs or so it seems as the duo combined for three of the Vulcans' runs in a 10-4 loss to Santa Clara University in Schott Stadium.

Trias and Higa worked got together in the first inning to give the Vulcans a 1-0 lead. Trias started the game with a single then stole second. After a ground out move him to third, Trias scored on Higa's single.

In the fifth, Trias walked and stole second. Two batters later, Higa picked up an RBI in Trias with a single.

In the ninth, Trias tripled then scored on Higa's infield grounder.

The Vulcan's fourth run was produced on Trias' bases-loaded single in the sixth.

Trias led the Vulcans (13-26) with a 3 for 4 day at the plate with one RBI. Higa was 4 for 5 with 3 RBI. Shane Kessel was 2 for 4.
