Ronel Trias scores the run and third batter
Michael Higa drives in the runs or so it seems as the duo combined for three of the Vulcans' runs in a 10-4 loss to Santa Clara University in Schott Stadium.
Trias and Higa worked got together in the first inning to give the Vulcans a 1-0 lead. Trias started the game with a single then stole second. After a ground out move him to third, Trias scored on Higa's single.
In the fifth, Trias walked and stole second. Two batters later, Higa picked up an RBI in Trias with a single.
In the ninth, Trias tripled then scored on Higa's infield grounder.
The Vulcan's fourth run was produced on Trias' bases-loaded single in the sixth.
Trias led the Vulcans (13-26) with a 3 for 4 day at the plate with one RBI. Higa was 4 for 5 with 3 RBI.
Shane Kessel was 2 for 4.
