Petaluma, Calif. – The post-season ended for the University of Hawaii at Hilo golf team as they couldn’t overcome a mountain in the final round of the NCAA Division II Men’s Northwest/West Super Regional at the Adobe Creek Golf Club.
Sonoma State claimed the team title with a three-round score of 861. They were followed by Western Washington (873), Grand Canyon (880), Cal State Stanislaus (881), Cal State San Bernardino (881), Cal State Monterey Bay (883), Chico State (895) and Hawaii Hilo (903).
Logan Goulding led the Vulcans with a 4-over-par 220 (74-70-76)and was tied for 10th place.
Bishara Ari was tied for 14th place at 222 (74-72-76).
Jesus Valdivia was in 24th place at 8-over-par 224 (76-76-72) followed by
Isaac Jaffurs (44th, 81-80-80=241) and
Ryan Felix (45th, 84-76-82=242).
Grand Canyon’s Ryan Sperry won the individual event with a five-under-par 211 (74-68-69).
