The University of Hawaii at Hilo beat Brigham Young University-Hawaii 59-57 in a non-conference game in the Canon Activities Center in Laie, Hawaii.
The Vulcans improved to 6-3 overall while the Seasiders are 4-6.
The Vulcans saw their 7-point lead with 3:02 remaining in the game disappear as the Seasiders went on a 9-2 run that knotted the game at 57 with 22 seconds remaining.
The Seasiders gained ball possession off of a missed free throw but couldn’t hold on to it as the Vulcans regained possession with eight seconds remaining.

Amanda Adams and scored the game winner.
Ashley Kualii led the Vulcans with 18 points and six assists.
Hina Kimitete added 15 points while Adams had 13.
