The University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped a Pacific West Conference doubleheader to Hawaii Pacific University at Wong Stadium, 7-5 and 2-1.

The Vulcans are 5-6 overalll and 1-3 in the PWC while the Sea Warriors are 11-2 overall and 3-1 in the PWC.

#Keoni Manago# led the Vulcans with a 2 for 3 day at the plate with three RBI. #Thomas Brown# also picked up a pair of hits.

#Brian Shannon# took the loss by giving up seven runs on 12 hits over 4.1 innings. He also walked one and struck out two.# Jeff Jones# pitched the final 2.2 innings giving up three hits and a walk.

The Vulcans rallied in the seventh when they trailed 7-0. After scoring two runs and with two runners on base, Manago hit a three-run homerun to cap the Vulcans' scoring.

#Phil Hackney# pitched a solid five innings for the Vulcans in game two giving up just three hits and walking three but didn't figure in the decision.

Over the final two innings, #Christian Stephenson# gave up two runs on two this with two walks to take the loss.

Brown again paired hits.
